Training Contracts
We don't fit the mould for a law firm, so you wouldn't expect us to follow the traditional template for training either. Our training contracts are designed to have more in them so you get more out of them. So here you'll gain invaluable technical knowledge and professional skills, working on live cases, meeting clients, and attending our Learning & Development workshops – all backed up by expert guidance and unlimited support throughout. Something else that sets us apart is that you'll have real Partner contact, not just a quick hello in the corridor.
Our full service legal offering spans the financial, leisure, retail, housing, technology and media, renewables and public sectors and our core legal specialisms are real estate, banking and finance, commercial, corporate, employment and litigation. But we believe there's more to legal work than being a lawyer – you need to embrace management, technology and business skills too. Here's a little snippet about us from Chambers UK: "Top quality work and enviable clients. Approachable, business-oriented.., superb technical and commercial nous."
If you want to make your mark in law, work progressively and with a conscience, then here you'll find a new style law firm that's going places. And, whether you join us for your training contract or a one-week vacation scheme placement, you'll find we're fresh, fun and full of innovative ideas – and a great place to start your legal career.
You'll enjoy early responsibility too, with live cases to use your knowledge and skills on. We've around 26 seats that you could work in, and we'll always ask you for your preferences before rotation. There are no compulsory seats but our business' needs have to be prioritised as well as your preferences.
Something that speaks volumes about the quality of our training contracts at TLT is our excellent retention rate. We're in the enviable position of being able to offer permanent positions to all five of our trainee solicitors qualifying in March.
